IRC channel #Pbaoe made into a general alt group channel?

I was thinking that people could idle in the channel #pbaoe and make groups there to xp.
For example, its late and not many ppl are on... I would want to lvl my alt. So, I say in the channel #pbaoe "anyone wanna go lvl alts?" then the people who are on could go and xp.

Would this help and work out? Ideas, changes, opinions?

In principle its sounds a good idea, and probably the best way of getting a group with people who know what they are doing, however sometimes half the fun and frustation is from getting in a lowbie group with someone who hasn't got a clue and you can help them out. Also there are lots of players out there that have alts but dont use IRC, me for one. Would it not be better to log your alt on and see if other people are on around your level. Also perhaps arrange a regular time each night to play these alts, keep it quiet to other realms though.
