Just reading that, and so far Iraq have been unable to actually hurt anyone. The only casualties on our side was an 'accident' can Iraq's really be that crap? I think this quote at the bottom sums it up...

"Iraq fires 10 Scud-type missiles at Kuwait, hours after the first air raid, causing no injuries."

Well about 200 allied casualties vs 100,000 from the first conflict says they are crap. But....

1. Don't count your chickens.
2. Be thankful they are.

I've just been watching a live press announcement with a couple of Iraqi ministers wearing combat gear and carrying AK47s going on about how all the pictures of coalition forces inside Iraq, and those showing soldiers surrendering, are all faked.

Scary.

Now I am watching eight B-52s taking off from UK Fairford airbase, consider that it is estimated that 3 B-52s can create a crater 1 mile square and 50' deep.

Scary scary.

P.S. BBC 24 is so crap, but its all I've got.

CNN is shit too.

Sky and BBc are a bit "well something's happening but we can't say what" and CNN are "We're kicking raghead ass!"

Well, not quite but you get the drift.

BBC 24 starts showing the live interviews and press announcements, from the UK (both Downing Street and HoC), the US and Iraq, then halfway through they cut off or start talking over it, its just so smegging annoying, they're on 24/7 why don't they just let it run, it's not like they are cutting to anything important.

BBC News 24 yesterday:

"And now we switch to our man in Qatar, Nicholas - what's latest there from the diplomatic quarters?"

Reporter: "The silence from diplomatic quarters is deafening. No one is telling us anything".

Cut to news anchorman, obviously flustered by this reply..."So Nicholas, what does this silence tell us?".

Reporter gives camera a "are you a fucking retard, thanks for putting me on the spot look".

Priceless.

The media are just being their usual sensationalist and highly repetitive selves. They have got dragging news out to a fine art.

I am interested in whats going on but it drives me to drink to have to sit through all the other speculative rubbish they report.

Just give me the straight facts...thats all I ask!!

ffs

tbh

THing I found funny was driving into work Yesterday morning. Radio 5 was interviewing Geoff Hoon. Nicky Campbell and I think she is Called Victoria Derbyshire or summat.

R5: So Mr Hoon are we at WAR then ?
GH Not at Liberty to Say
R5: Mr Hoon how did yuo know key Iraqi figures woyuld be in the buildings you bombed ?
GH: Intelligence Sources
R5: Are you willing to reveal the sources of that intelligenece ??
GH: NO
R5: MR Hoon will there be any coalition Casualties ?
GH: Well the nature of war and conflict blah blah blah
R5: MR Hoon you are not answering my question, will there be coalition casualties ???
GH: Obviously there could be some, yes. We obvioulsy want to keep them to a minimum.
R5: So Mr Hoon what you are saying is that Britain is in a state of War and we could suffer casualties??

Thats what you pay your license fee for. Fekkin retarded the lot of them

BTW Is it a good thing or a bad thing that this war is on the TV 24/7. I suppose its part of the operation but half of the Iraqis dont have TV so what purpose does it serve ?

The only thing they are showing on TV ( in Iraq) are songs and old footage of Iraq in the Gulf War to boost morale.

Its on TV here so we know whats happening, people have family there so im sure theyd want to know whats going on.

Maybe he tried to and they got "neutralized", although if Iraq fired a biological/chemical armed missile it would be a great propaganda coup for the US, the consequences are just unthinkable, I doubt they'd let it happen.

It's unlikely, if they had any useable WMD, they would have been able to deploy them in time for the start, as they must have been well hidden by now. Of course as the conflict wears on, this gives more time for deployment, so a WMD may yet to be used.

Do you reckon if we ask nicely enough, they will target places we don't like? (like france ;)).
