IP Addresses

Doing an investigation at work, and I have a set of IP addresses from one of the proxy logs. Have managed to identify most of them with IP lookups, etc, but there are a few which I can't identify. An example is 216.169.118.6. An IP lookup is no help, and when you append /index.html you can get to the Apache platform - so it's deffo a proper Web site. Been using RIPE to do the lookups.

Any of you got any ideas about how to get to the pages, or how to identify specifically who this IP address belongs to.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers TDC - you don't win yet though - how would I go about finding the web pages at this site - guessed at index.htm, index.html, default.htm, etc - no joy.
I know it's a has pages, because of the nature of the investigation (!).

P.S. Your prize will be a packet of salted peanuts in the Banana Club, Amsterdam (when we come over in the summer).

well it just so happens that the chello dns server knows that site :/ to get the extra info I used the VeriSign Registrar WHOIS database

as to indexing. that apache page you see is the index.html. you'll have to know a specific uri to get any further than that. good luck!
