Iomega 40x12x48 USB 2.0 CD-RW

Hello,

My brother got this (topic) for xmas. So, installed the USB 2.0 PCI card. Installed the HotBurn software, plugged it all in and it doesnt work. His PC seems to think its in a normal USB slot. The HotBurn software lags to fk. Infact the whole thing is b0rked. Nero also does not detect it. I really dont know what to do (although ive suggested he formats cus his pc is basically full of shite) as you can imagine he is in his bed sulking and refusing to do anything cus his xmas present doesnt work.

Please help.

1. did you install the relevant Windows XP drivers for the PCI card?

2. Have you got the latest version of Nero?

xp was a bit finicky with my usb crdw. when ever i rebooted, I had to in this order

1 unplug the USB cable pc side
2 unplug and replug the pwer supply to the cdrw
3 replug the usb cable back in


if nero doent work, try wonon cd or cdrwin
