The violins are so haunting and that drum is simple yet it just makes my skin stand up.

Play it again sam.....and he does.

Damn right.... the intro isn't incredible, but it's just that the song is so great that you get shivers down your spine when you know it's about to start :D

The intros so far pale in comparison to the great god of intros which belongs to......Rob D - Clubbed to Death Part 2. 3 and a half minutes of the most brilliantly composed build-up I have ever heard. When the ryhtyms finally explode, there is another explosion. In my pants. From the front before anyone says it.

Pink Floyd - Echoes has a pretty uber intro aswell.

At the moment it would have to be DJ Pimpaliscious- Scratching Mega Mix .

The intro is from an old Kung Fu movie then moves into some superb scratching.

So goddamn true it hurts, baby. Actually, the entire song is fantastic. As is the ending. And Apollo Programme... is lovely, too.

I also vote in As The Worm Turns from the Faith No More catalogue. Psuedo-classical? Yes please!
