Okay, have a look at The Internet Archive and enter a URL for one of your favourite, or most well-known sites and the engine throws back a series of dates you can view those pages from.

This impressed the pants off me! It's very, very slow, a little flaky (missing the occasional jpeg an' stuff) but still the funkiest thing like, ever.

Amazing when you look at WP top ten list from 1996 - Half Life is No1 - nothing changed there then
5 years later CS is so popular that other games dont have enough players for a good laugh - I used to enjoy a bit of Q3 - I tried the other day and hardly any servers with plenty of people playing.

i thought half-life came out in '98

and CS about '99/2000

New Intel prices are: 200MHz classic Pentium costs $117, the 233MHz processor $183, the P2/133 will cost $255 and the P2/266 $357. The P2/300 will cost $505.

I was replying to Mandevils link thinking it was from 1996 'cos thats when they first started to archive the web- oh yeh and I started to play HL for the first time 2 weeks ago when I got bored - I wanted to know what all the fuss was about
(I play CS lots but never bothered with HL)
