I've tried several times to set up a non-dedicted server so I can play 1 on 1 with my mate.
Last week he managed to find my server in the main listing but gave up as he was having to download skeletal chars etc. We now know that was because he hadn't got the various add-on packs. He's now fully loaded.
Today he can't find my server on the server list, although I did check the Advertise Server option. I then gave him the IP address. He entered this in Open Location and he was told he was "connecting" but nothing else happened.
I take it the IP address he should be entering ends in 7777 although in the Start Multiplayer Game set-up, port 88 is default????
I'm connecting on ISDN @ 64K and have no problems with pings so what can the problem be now?
