Well maybe, in light of the fact that I've been told that some americans are calling for reagan to be carved into mount rushmore I thought it might be a source of good discussion.

If we had an english version of mount ruhsmore (for prime ministers), who would you put on it?

Churchill..... that's about it.

Thatcher, maybe, because she's quite iconic, but a stone cold wench who needs to be taken to the desert and shot in the face.

What hillside would we carve it into? I actually find the situation quite amusing and almost verging on the ridiculous ;).

If we did, Churchill would be a very lonely person up there...

PS: Posted without reading G's post first. So that's 2 for Winnie!

Just carve it into the white cliffs of Dover.

The end of the "Special Edition with added CGI cliff reconstruction" Quadrophenia would look great then :)

As for me, in my 26 years I can only remember 3 prime ministers. Thatch, Major and Blair. Probably more, but I don't really follow politics.

I was thinking altee as well but I know feck all other than he was the pm when the NHS was introduced. I vaugely remember that he might not have been too popular.

Also would cromwell qualify as a PM? Then again being half-Irish I suppose I shouldn't like him too much :p
