Evening

I found this quite amusing, thought you might like it. Taken from http://vnboards.ign.com/Fans_Round_Table/b5176/67584531/?33

Enjoy :)

Carniflex: Nope. Its more like someone sells memberships to a "fishing lake community" wherein you buy a lakefront home (computer) pay to lease a dock (broadband) to go out and fish on the lake wherein the Lake Company (Mythic) has advertised that there will be fish stocked and accomodations made for fly, freshbait, artificial lure, hand net, and several other styles of fishing.

After two years the following has happened:

1) Fly fishing has never been introduced.

2) Trolling was allowed for two years and then the rules were changed so that you could only troll using hooks without bait and all artificial lures were outlawed from boats.

3) The number of species stocked have been three instead of the nine promised.

4) Numerous fellow residents have been cheating by using boat pulled nets at night catching large amounts of fish making it very difficult for the other residents to catch more than a few fish. The fishing company has caught numerous people doing this and at most has suspended them from fishing for one week, or allowed them to continue as long as they bought a different membership.

5) Many residents find that they cannot catch many fish unless they buy two or three memberships when they had been led to belive only one membership would be needed.

6) Anyone who holds their pole in their left hand is required to use only half as much line on their reels and that line can only be half as strong as Albion dual wielding fishermen.

7) Several residents are allowed to use explosives to stun fish which they are then allowed to scoop off the top of the lake.

This is much closer to DAOC than your analogy.

I'd be laughing if I wasn't so sad at how close to the truth it actually is.
