I'm having problems with my intellimouse
it keeps losing power at random times
this means i have to get up and unplug it and plug it back in so it will work
it's happening alot and it's fucking annoying

is this the mouse dying or a problem with the usb on my board ?

my board is an abit kt7-a

any ideas?

Odd, when mine died it lost power, struggled a bit and then wouldn't ever work again. Was with your mobo too.

My Intelli mouse had the problem that as you moved it the lights would flicker and the computer would lose and reastablish connection.

When I disected it I found that most of the cables in the wire had snapped and only made contact as the wire bent.

In the end I chopped off the offending section and re-soldered it to the board in side the mouse, now works fine as my 2nd intellimouse at work... :)

try using the Ps 2 adapter that comes with the mouse. If that works then could be the usb port

Yes its dying, I have been through 4 of these mice. Perplex has as well afaik.

phone Microsoft uk tech support, its listed ont he website somewhere. Tell them whats wrong, and they will send u a free replacement.

I gave up on the explorer, and got an optical the 4th time it broke.

Still I miss the explorer perfect mouse for right handed gamesplayers.
