Install trouble.

Ive recently installed Roxio Platinum 5 on my XP driven system. Since doing so, I get an error when I boot that reads a bit like this:

RUNDLL32.EXE entry point not found.
Dynamic link library THUNKCONNECT 32
KERNAL32.EXE

If I OK the error, another pops up:

RUNDLL
error in NVQTWK
missing entry point NvCp1Dalmon

Ive tried to un-install the Roxio stuff, but Direct CD wont allow me to disable it for uninstallation.

Any Ideas.??

well, step 1 would be to slap yourself silly for installing such a pos software. then i'd try forcing the task down using task manager... just click "processes" and find the exe name and click "end task". then i'd uninstall it again, properly this time. :)

Did you get the latest updates for it?

As Embattle said. The original version would well and truly f*ck up your system. You need the update.

Looking at the above error mesage again, it looks like it's related to your graphics card/driver.

Can you post the EXACT error messages you get (I don't think some of the spelling there is right).

Thanks for all the help, but Ive sorted it. Updated my Nvidia drivers from 21.summat to 23.summat and now the trouble has gone away.

And, Direct cd still works. Which is nice.
