That said, it really doesn't blow the competition away. The FiringSquad's review, like many others, just demonstrates that the 3000+ can keep with a P4 3.06Ghz, leading where AMD has always led, and lagging behind where the P4 has always been king. And that's not taking into account future applications written with SSE2 and/or hyper-threading in mind. I guess the hard times for AMD continue :(
