i read a couple of these posts and some1 said you need a 3rd party chat client

that mean theres no ingame chat like daoc or was he referring to voice chat like teamspeak

the 3rd party one is an extra

I was indeed referring to voice chat

well the in-game 'chat' keeps breaking everytime you leave a group anyway. pretty easy to fix unless like me you keep forgetting to.
