Infiltrator Race and Starting Stat Points

Which is the best race and the best place to put my starting stat points for an Infiltrator with the following circumstances?

1. I will be using thrust weapons
2. I WON'T have access to a buffbot

I split my original question (post) into 2 separate questions to make it easier to get the answers I needed and in hope that the new posts won't drift off into a different subject like the original one did (Infiltrator Realm Abilities etc)
