In game chat....???? How's it work?

By in game chat I mean actually talking into a microphone and someone on my team hearing me. Seem to remember that this was supposed to be implemented into the game, but I cant seem to find a mention of it in the Online Manual. I dont have a copy of the game yet either so no clues there.

So, is this a feature of the game or was I taking too many drugs when I last read the previews for this game... Not a frequant occurance I assure you.

IF its not a feature, what is everyone using? If anything????

When you get the game at the server select screen it has a step by step.

But by the amount of DAOC ppl expect a 50 page essay here within the next 20 minutes.

So can you actually talk to teams in real time over a Microphone???

20 page essays are okay, but only if it makes me laugh, cry and feel on top of the world. A bit like an episode of Baywatch!

Aye, when in a squad someone can opt to start voicecomms. Everyone in the squad is then auto-invited and can chat through a mic.

I found it works pretty well too.

Only tip i'd give which we seem to suffer in full squads with voice comms on is either turn voice activate off or use a key to activate (pretty much like roger wilco options)
We've found when someone talks too loud it breaks up.
