OK it's cool , the changes to ambient sounds are very nice indeed.

I was logged in DF and those creepy new sounds are so atmospheric, it makes the place much cooler to be in.

And the background chatter sounds in TirNog do make it seem less sterile and boring.

Also Bard buffs survive zoning!!! sweet!

The icons are godam awful though, they all look the bleedin same, the distinction between your spells in not specific enough to quickly catch your eye in battle.

Give the sound department a medal and sack the icon guy.

hehe, everyone hated the icons when they changed.

They do grow on you in time though. A good little touch is the borders change colour depending on the higher the buff is.

I agree on the sounds... then I also agree with both of you about the icons. At first they are HORRIBLE but they do begin to grow on you I must confess...
One thing I hate about them is the look of the group window

I like the new buffs but I'm weird...

put them on semi-transparent (and the group window too) and it's a bit nicer
