This from tonight's Question Time:

How can the government justify an immigration policy which allows in an unlimited amount of (premiership) footballers, but descriminates against skilled scientists & doctors?

Well, we have to presumably be talking about non-EU workers - limits on EU footballers (and normal workers) are illegal under EU law iirc, note this also covers lots of players via EU passports even if the player isn't from the EU.

Non-EU footballers _theoretically_ have to fulfil various criteria to be allowed a work permit to play. I say theoretically as if they're rejected the club appeal and the majority of times they're allowed in

The word we are seeking for is money. Capitalism is going down the same failure road as communism. Fast.
