Well, I never really set out to make friends here on BW, I enjoyed being opinionated and rather silly.
Not posting for "Goodbye m8 i lub joo" replies but in the hope that this post will strike a few people close to home and make them realise how shitty over indulgence can be.
I was diagnosed with cancer of the stomach a few months back and Pancreatic(sp?) cancer around 3 days ago. At the ripe old age of 18 you can imagine the effect it had on me. I find myself looking back on the past few years and thinking, "wtf?"
What I'm trying to say is that DAoC is only a game, many people destroy their lives because they can't tear themselves away from the computer screen for a few hours a day to go outside, meet some friends or even just go for a stroll. I've seen people do it for the past 2 years I've played DAoC and at the time of writing, I know many more who are doing the same.
I find myself sitting here, unsure whether I'll be alive this time next year and regretting EVERY single fucking moment I've spent sat in my computer chair having "fun". For most people I know that play now, "fun" = "addiction", they're just in denial.
So yea, I'm gone. I feel I must make an apology to all I've unfairly berated, belittled or just generally been an absolute retard to in the past. Life's too short to hold grudges.
If a game's not fun, don't play it. It's really not worth it.
Cya around. :>
