ditto. I was having a drink with a college mate the other day and he's been with the same company since we graduated; twenty years this summer. It would drive me mad.

Anyway, good luck with the interview Wij, resist the urge to...well, do anything in the interview.

It would drive me mental too!

This guy from my previous company has been there for over 30 years. It's been his only job since he left school.

I need to keep moving! Also I find if you move fairly regularly your salary goes up quicker too!

But you also expose yourself to risks .. less / lower redundancy if things go pear shaped

Prob not in an employer contribution pension = you having to save more money.

I thought this was a thread about relationships, in a very metaphorical way. Oh and good luck man.

Best of luck Wij, most of my colleagues that have also left are much, much, much happier in their new positions. I really do wish you all the best, we've been through a lot of unbearable and dire shite since about mid-2008.

Farewell from the largest babysitting circle ;).
