My isp-company called me yesterday. "We have received complaints from a guy in germany who is receiving spam, apparently from your IP-number." So I check my comp for viruses with Norton Anti-Virus. Indeed, some virus in a dll-file that allows a hacker to control my comp. ikpgweg.dll... thing is this that I cant delete it, because "You cant delete a file that is used by a program or another user. close any programs blah blah blah blah". Not with Norton or "manually" with Explorer.

And I scanned my comp for trojans and stuff. Saw liek 3 of my ports were open and controlled by a trojan or something.

Help please? Any help would be liek the rulest

note down where the file is located

Start your machine in "safe mode"

you should be able to delete the file then

if that does not work then get the full known name of the virus and search for it here

http://search.symantec.com/custom/us/query.html

there may well be a removal tool.

Another option would be to open task manager and have a look in "proccess" and see if you can see ikpgweg.dll in there, if so then end it and try deleting it.

If the above is no help, it very well may start up from your starup list and when you turn your computer on it's there in use.

msconfig in Run and then look at the starup tab and see if you can locate it, if you can untick it and restart. Then try deleting it.

Good luck
