A few tips from a tanks point of view,to all our new healers, some of which have never played DAoC before.
First of all well done for picking a char, not used purely as a buffbot /salute.
1, When joining a group the 1st task in hand is to buff the rest of your group accordingly, never be afraid to ask which chars need which buffs, main tanks getting priority , especially in pbaoe groups.
2, Bearing in mind some tanks may be new to the game to, remind them to put protect on you (if possible).
3, Keep relatively close to the tank protecting you in order for it to work, but away from the mobs, incase you get agro they need to see which mob is attacking you, if you do get agro walk backwards whilst doing a /y, or have a help macro made, never run away from your group if agroed.
4, Do healing from your mini bar as it`s not as laggy as the main group bar and a little more accurate regarding health.
5, Try to keep all heals small heals, as big heals will get you agro, a lot easier to do with one tank, than say 3 or 4 in a pbaoe group.
6, Life can made easier if grouped with another cleric, by stating before hand who heals who, ie:- you do top 3 I do bottom.
All in all after starting another merc ( I know i`m mad but I love them to bits ), I have been quite impressed with a lot of the groups i`ve` been in so far, bearing in mind there is a lot of moaning atm about grouping in general, but there is still that anger when peeps make a mistake instead of encouragement,
imho if any chars need a huggle more than a none buffbot cleric does , i`ll be hrodelberts loot pick up biatch for the rest of my playing days, so be kind to them guys without them we`re fecked.
