Iiyama VM Pro 454 Brightness Issues

Right, I've been swearing by this monitor for a while, cause it's great. But I've hit a problem.

I'm used to switching it into "Picture" mode for Games, and having to bump up the brightness in the game settings, which is normally fine, but I just reloaded Quake II. Despite much config tweaking I can't get the brightness up. Darker areas are almost 100% black, and the floors of Q2DM3 are much the same.

Is this a recurring problem? Is there a fix? Thank yous

I recently installed Q2 and have not shifted up the brightness at all.

Are there multiple revisions of it?

Usenet is coming out pretty blank for it too - I'll try fiddling with the colour correction in the nVidia drivers, see what that does for me

Well, that was a quick solution

Used Detonators to set Gamma to 1.6 in Games, problem solved!

Just have two profiles set in the nVidia manager whatsit and it's working a charm. Abeit with the slight irritation of switching profiles prior to playing! Aparently it's Microsoft's fault for not having the Windows display GUI corrected... according to some people on Usenet anyway.
