They're nice but sadly come this Monday I'll be having something like my 15+ replacement starting with the 451 and continuing through the 454 models.

They are damn tasty monitors - still stand by the claim that the best monitor I've ever used was a 17" fella (discontinued now). Absolutely spot on it was. Used all the way upto 22" sonys, and they still dont touch it.

Well he does imply that his new monitor is better than sex. Also note stategically placed such that screen cannot be seen when entering the room.

I've got a iiyama 17" VM PRO 413. It is the fucking king. I want a bigger monitor, but my desk won't fit anything bigger than 17" :|

The problem with being a student on holiday - you get no say whatsoever in the décor. :)

Work? What is this work of which you speak? :)

I haven't tried yet, but I imagine it would be rather useful for Photoshoppery, and probably Web development as well (split-pane coding which is actually practical, maybe?)

I'll put it this way - he only got one out of envy of mine.

And yes, you *can* work at 1600x1200. I have the DPI up in the control panel, which is kinda required when you get to uber high resolution, but yes, you can indeed work :)

And yes, I'd have taken the toilet roll out of the shot too...

(Not that I have any to take out of shot, but y'know)

Wow, weird shit. The moment I saw FBM's carpet (thanks for pointing it out smurkin) i wanted to roll one up. Thats GOT to be a 60's design.
FBM, if you dont live in council property you have no excuse for that carpet, unless your a serious "smoker". However, I salute your priorities in buying a new monitor before sorting the carpet out.

Oh, and I worked in 1900 x 1440 for 3 years (21" monitor) and the monitor gave out before my eyes did.
