Hi all,

Just had a hard drive literally melt due to lack of air circulation and proximity to my other hard drive. If you have more than 1 hard drive, don't stack them on top of each other like I did. Now I've got a second hard drive literally laying on the floor of the case.

Kero's tip of the day.

Doesn't matter how many fans you have, if the air doesn't flow correctly, you will not get your case cooled... If you blow in air one way towards another fan that sucks it out, you will not have any effect. Just take a good look your airflow, it should work...

In a normal case, two fans should be enough by far to keep most cases cool. Place one at the bottom of the case to blow cool air in and one at the top to suck hot air (which will rise to the top) out.

Of course, stacking two drives directly on top of eachother won't help, as the cool air can't get between the drives... BTW there are special HD coolers as well, these may be an option for you...
