If any of you actually played the card game, this new version has 100s of 8th Edition cards in & about 50 or so multicolour Legends. Some sweet new cards for new & exciting deck building

Main reason I d/l this new version - via some giggery pokery & a player made patch you can set up a nice clean tcp/ip connection - im using it on a LAN & works wonderfully, can be used across the net to.

reckon you were playing shadalar, the single player campaign part of the game with super gfx !

I can't make it work properly.. It crashes and now all the text is gone

after you installed the game and manalink 1.32 there should be the following program-directory:

"XY:/Your Game Directory/Magic The Gathering/Program/"

I don't have that directory.. Any help Zede?

Something i regret when i collected magic the gathering was selling my collection for dirt cheap

Now all I have is 1 deck with Black Lotus, mox pearl, mox sapphire, mox jet, ancestral recall, timetwister, timewalk few other big cards and I also have PSA8 Beta Balance which holding to sell in future. I've always wanted Juzam Djinns but I got the cheap versions from the newer expansions.

Anyway does anyone have a link for the downloads please?

before you decide to download all these updates/mods check corresponding threads to see what they change.
otherwise you could be dissapointed.

How to install the game


1) unpack the *.zip files (magicg.zip, manalink132.zip) with winrar or what-teh-hell-else-rar

2) install the game (run setup.exe)

3) install Manalink 1.32 (run the setup.exe in compatibility mode Win95)


after you installed the game and manalink 1.32 there should be the following program-directory:

"XY:/Your Game Directory/Magic The Gathering/Program/"

keep that in mind, because in the next steps we have to overwrite some files there


if the game is already installed on your pc, you should backup your game folder before you overwrite files!


4) now you are going to install Mok's Manalink 2.0 update

extract the archive (Manalink2.0.zip) to "XY:/Your Game Directory/Magic The Gathering/Program/"
when you are prompted to overwrite existing files click "yes to all"


5) installation of the optional update(s)/mod(s) you chose in the first step (What do i need?)

just repeat step 4) with the archives of the optional update(s)/mod(s)

I noticed on ebay that most players tend to sell packs of 10 Rare Cards for like 3.99 with the mention of you could get one of these power 9 cards (All a scam ofc) But people buy the packs.

ive got 4 originals each of ball lightning, larrynevins disk, lord of atlantis, plateau & slight of mind. Worth nothing, all used to death & rather tattered

shand has been FUBAR for many years, though im sure i saw some Fixes on the site might help, i installed some jiggery pokery with the microsoft application compatibilty toolkit.
