Go to C: documents and settings/user/local settings/application data/funcom/conan/prefs
(You must enable "view system files" under folder settings to see the path)
You will see one or two xml files named prefs_1, prefs_2. Open these files in notepad and search for
"RenderSetting_ShaderModel" you should see the following:
"RenderSetting_ShaderModel" value="2" (2 may be replaced by -1 on some older x800 cards)
change the value so you end up with ..... "RenderSetting_ShaderModel" value="0" in both files and save.
You may have to do this everytime the game patches these files.
Caveat: This is not my ingenuity at work. As anyone who remembers me from DAoC will know, computers and computing are not exactly my strongpoint. I found this on vn and it did the trick.
