It's looking damn interesting, but as its asian made its more then likely gonna be a horrible grind game that takes all the fun out of it. :(

Regardless of whether it is true for this game or not, I really do not and never will understand the new school WoW-induced idea that ever having to grind in an MMO is the second coming of the anti-Christ. It took me around 1.5 months to ding 50 the first time in Aion and a month the second time. It took me MUCH longer to get level 50 in DAoC. Those two games were, by a distance, the best MMOs I have ever played.

Just look at Rift, everyone complains how shallow the game is and that there is no content. I leveled two 50s, got full gear on both and close to Prestige cap on one before my free 30 days were up. I never resubbed. Same thing with Warhammer, people were RR80 within 6 months of the game going live. RR-capped players didn't appear for a hell of a long time in DAoC, why was that not considered some sort of unasailable an unworthy system as leveling appears to be considered now?

I understand the whole point that PvP ranks taking a long time don't matter because it is more fun than leveling, but still, without some sense of achievement from what you do in an MMO what, after all, is the point of putting any effort into your character?

I don't have a problem with grinding either. And i loved it in DAoC before SI made it to easy because you made a LOT of good friends because back then grouping = fast XP, yes it's still true now but solo + BB is a perfectly viable option so ppl solo instead, or pay for a PL.

The grinding we have now on the other hand is so solo friendly that you can go you're entire game life not grouping a single time and in many games STILL end up getting the best gear possible. Whilst grouping on the other hand PENALIZE you're xp gain.

Because no matter how dull camping xp spots were in DAoC, it was still a lot more fun to do it with a random group aiming for the same goal then doing it solo with a fucking buffbot like today. Or in the case of WoW, multibox 5 accounts or more.

That, more then anything, is what i miss with todays MMO's. HAVING to group to make decent progress, and by doing that, meeting a lot of people and making a lot of friends.

Every time i play a new MMO now i always feel like i'm playing a single player game with a built in chatroom.

Yeah, couldn't agree more. When grinding is focused on solo'ing it absolutely sucks, which is something Aion is most certainly guilty of.

call me w/e u want, accuse me of beeing overhyped , but i am currently w8ing like no tommorow 2 games, GW2 and BnS , both games from NCSOFT which had many failures until now, but at the same time the beta videos shows that they learned from it. ( Dont forget that i was saying that RIFT is going to be a failure but nobody heard me back then ! )

BUT i seriously predict with the videos i have seen until now that these two games will most propably NOT be failures.

GW2, is from USA team, BnS is from korean team.

It seems that GW2 lvling is focused more on having a story-alike experience,
while BnS is more grind friendly, lvling seems that wont take that long though.

I like them both will play them both.

I will always remember these endless nights grindin exp with fg in daoc, just to ding from 48-50 at vanilla . It was tiring back then but at the same time i met a ridiculous amount of people. And i learned the core mechanics of all classes before hitting 50. While on other games i had to hit maximum lvl and even do a huge research on internet to learn the core mechanics of all classes
