Ok - normally I wouldnt post details here, but this char annoyed me a LOT.

While hunting in Spind, this char deliberately drew a aggro mob into the middle of our group while we were fighting. As a result, several of the group died. On speaking to her, she seemed to have done it on purpose.

The char name is Olivera, from the guild Shields of Valhalla.

She has been added to the ignore list of my chars. Just be careful when she is around, and think twice about helping her.

Well, I'm an Officer with the Shields and Olivera has no history of this sort of thing happening. I have grouped with her before and she has always been an asset in a group. So, was this a one-off and did you even ask her what had happened or did you just abuse her and stick her on your ignore list. I will speak to Olivera about this and find out her version of events and pm you in game. In future try and contact Officers of the players Guild (/who shield and ask someone who an officer is) to get the matter resolved before posting on this forum.

I was grouped with her in spind today and she pulled her weight.

Not had problems with her in the past. Wouldn't this have been delt with better with a /send to shagrat or one of the other officers who could have got her side without passing public accusation......

First of all may i publicly vouch for Olivera - she is a good player and a good friend.

Secondly may i ask you, Kihon, why you even entertain the notion that any player DELIBERATELY pulls an aggro mob?
Has it escaped your notice that Spindelhalla is full of aggro mobs with a large number of spawn points and also mobs that on occasion have been know to aggro from great distances due to the numerous wallbugs?

May i suggest that if you do have a problem with any of our members that you first of all contact myself or another officer in the game, rather than in a fit of pique flaming with opinion rather than fact.

I am sorry that you died whilst xping in spindelhalla but believe me it happens to us all and many can be due to really unlucky circumstances. Advice is to pick yourself up, brush off that dirt and just get back on with it.

Kihon, I think you are twisting the truth just a little. While looking for a group I accidentally aggroed a troll. Looking for help I ran to the closest group (yours). One of your group members then HIT THE TROLL THEMSELVES therefore transfering aggro to your group. If you and your party were anything other than a motley bunch of incompetents you would have been able to deal with it; if you couldn't deal with it then you shouldn't have attacked in the first place. After your party all died I immediatley received abusive messages from members of your group - I was more than happy to reply in kind. After listening to the diatribe from you and your party I am only happy that you all died.

PS Kihon - If you ever want your party killed by an aggroed mob in the future I will only be happy to oblige.

You gotta love being a healer these days.

I think healers are cool except for the fact midgard and elf healers are way underbalanced to the alb healer as they can use medium shields and get dd spells such as smite. Apart from that they are cool

First I think it is rather lame that you put this on the board without even speaking to one of the Officers I Shield of Valhalle.

Second hanging out Olivera because she run to you because she was in trouble doesn’t seem fair. If she was in trouble the natural thing was probably to run to you for some help. Next time it can be you running. Look at the bright side you tried to help a fellow Midgarian, you died in the process, but at least have some dignity not whine about this later. Only children behave like this and cry over loss of xp etc.

Okies:

Shagrat - I did a /who Shield at the time. The I spoke with a high level member of the guild (Didnt know about officers of the guild), and though he said he knew olivera, when I told him what happened, I got nothing back. (sorry cant remember his name).

yaruar - I tried to contact someone in the guild (as mentioned above).

Jagang - The reason I believed it to be a deliberate action was her actions AFTER the incident. After our group members died, there was no appology. As Chirsc says he DID came to our group with the mod - it was not our team pulling aggro. I sent her a send saying "thanks for that". Her response "np" my understanding at that point is she was happy to have helped us die. I have no problem dying anywhere. Quite often in order to save the rest of the group, I will use my insta Group heal knowing full well the mob will kill me. (Ask Kio in Spind how many times (s)he has to res me because of that) What gets me is if some one TRIES to get me killed - or if they get me killed and dont have the decency to appologuise for it.

Did you get abuse from everyone in the group? Do you consider someone saying "Thanks for getting us killed" abuse? Just because some were annoyed with you does not mean that the rest deserve to die. From my point of view - even if you had no intention of anyone dying, you actions resulted in the deaths of several people. The least you owe them is a simple "sorry" - atleast to the ones who did not blast you. Did you offer one?


Jimli - fair enough.

Runolas - as mentioned above, I did not know the existance of guild officers, and attempted to contact one of the high level guild members before posting here. I have no problem what so ever with dying trying to help someone. I have done it more times than I care to remember. However, each time the least I expect is a thanks/sorry. Not someone implying they were happy I died because of them.

This is NOT about xp. its about manners, and treatment of other people. I am quite happy to loose a levels worth of xp keeping someone else alive and getting them to level. The fun of the game is the interraction with people. Had I got a simple sorry from Olivera, I would have been happy to say "nm - it happens" and carry on.

Imagine someone pulls a aggro mob to your group while you are fighting. As a result your group gets killed. you talk to the guy and you get responses indicating happiness about your group dying. You ask someone in the same guild about what happened, you get no response. How would you feel?

I will admit, I probably got the wrong impression simply because someone else in my group probably blasted Olivera before me, and I appologuise for posting details here. Normally I dont do that, and only did it because the incident REALLY annoyed me. I will publicly admit that Olivera didnt drag the mob over deliberately to kill our group - that was simply the impression I got from our interractions after the event.


I would still like to know if she offered an appology to any of the group - or did everyone in the group blast her?

imo the ranger was in the wrong .. the group she pulled to as the original poster stated was ALREADY in combat with a mob. thus the ranger shouldnt of went there for help ..we all know when lvling in groups sometimes just one more mob is all it takes for group wipe out .. so the ranger shoulda thought of that and either ran to next grp out the exit . or gone to a easy place for a rez + die... as for her posting here and sayin she will do it again shows me she is a dick . she got there party killed and has no sympathy for em ... although i do think this thread shouldnt of been created in the 1st place . it still doesnt get away from the fact that the ranger was wrong .

I have to admit - from information on this thread she probably didnt realise the group was in combat at the point she ran there. I cannot blame her for that. As mentioned in the previous post I appologuise for jumping to that conclusion.

Organ first off, the way Spindel are built makes it rather Impossible to run toward the exit with a agro troll after you, without passing atleat 4 groups in combat, and it's as good as impossible to get to the exit from the Trolls

From hearing now both you and Olive, it is clear that there was a nasty communication breakdown where both sides got the wrong end of the stick.

On behalf of the Shield i apologise if one of our members caused you trouble, or acted inappropriately. Likewise i stand by Olive and feel sorry that you felt the need to post this in public. It is clear from the difference in your 2 posts that the first was done in anger, but your 2nd was actually thought through a little bit better.

Maybe you would like to take stock of that for your next post against a member of your own realm. By all means go burn those hibs / albs for us

Now lets forget this as i think its becoming more than it ever was.

Apologies for another message on this topic, but I feel that I must reply to Kihon.

First of all lets make it clear that I did not deliberately try and pull an aggroed mob into Kihons group. It is a common occurence in Spindelhalla to accidentally aggro a mob - in this case it was extremely unfortunate that I was on my own whilst looking for a group. Due to the fact that I was on my own I decided to run to the nearest group for help (it is VERY common in spind to look for help if you are being overwhelmed - this was no different). Kihon's group had a lot of members, were about 10 paces away and were fighting trolls so it was obvious that I should try and seek help from them.

When the troll and I were next to your group ONE OF YOUR MEMBERS DECIDED TO ATTACK THE TROLL. It did not magically attack your group from its own free will, it did so because your group attacked it. Therefore you must accept some responsibility for dying since your group DECIDED to attack the troll. It is simply not possible for me to aggro the troll, lead it to your group and command it to attack!.

Look Kihon, immediately after your group died (which I was not aware of) I recieved abusive messages (containing swearing) from a member of your group. Due to this I was simply NOT going to offer an apology, otherwise I would have.

I also think it is unneccesary Kihon to post issues with my character to a PUBLIC message board, especially when they contain half truths and accusations. If you wish to discuss this matter further please message me in game NOT on a public message board.

HeHe Kihon Pick that dummy up fromt he floor if one of your group was thick enough to attack it thats your fault for grouping with them DONT COME ON THESE BOARDS AND SPIT YOUR DUMMY OUT FLAMING PEOPLE when its your on fault for invite somebody into your group that will attack such a monster that leads to getting your own Group killed...........

In future be more careful who you pick for your group and if something like this happens again dont worry take the persons name who brought the monster also make note of who attacks it to get aggro to your group THEN IF THE SAME PERSON AT A LATER DATE DOES THE SAME THING AGAIN that is when you do something like this not on the very first time ...this is how you lose Respect from your fellow realm members by jumping in at the deep end and flameing people who are most likely not guilty ...
