Idiot Ryanair question

I have to fly Ryanair tomorrow for a job abroad, and have been asked to check in online. I normally check in at the desk so this is all a bit new to me, apparently its £40 cheaper to do it this way.

The thing has printed out two sheets of A4, one with the departure flight, and another with the return flight, loads of barcodes and important looking letters and numbers. I clicked both boxes for "Reprint for Outbound Flight" and "Reprint for Return Flight"

Apart from my passport, is that it for me? Do I need anything else?

That printout with the barcodes ets is your boarding pass Tom - should be all you need.

Ok thanks. I hate Ryanair but fortunately/unfortunately they fly into an airport only minutes from our filming location. Its right on the south of Spain so I'm really hopeful I'll also have time to nip off in the evening and get some photographs of the night sky. Wrong time of the year to get a good Milky Way shot, but meh.

I know Big G will be wondering about this so check out Stellarium G.

Assuming you have no bags and your carry on is suitably small (or they WILL make you check it and charge you) then the boarding papers and your passport are all you need. NB. Its a lot more than £40 if you check in then lose that boarding paper, so don't.

Of course your major mistake was flying with that shower of ***** in the first place.

I didn't choose it :( The days of flying on decent airlines for telly are long gone, unless its long-haul.

I know how it is mate. Fortunately the only place I ever fly to on business anymore is the UK and Aer Lingus is nearly as cheap as RyanAir and about 10 billion times more pleasant.

Well due to Mr O'Leary's extremely unpleasant business practises I'm totally dependent on RyanAir when I fly to/from England. It's the only airline that operates out of Carcassonne, otherwise I need to go to Toulouse, Perpignan or Beziers, all of which are over an hour further afield.

*grumble*

Having said that, people moan about Ryanair but it is essentially a flying bus, in this case you really do get what you pay for. I was on a flight last week with some of the Catalan Dragons (only some because apparently a load of them got arrested for fighting in Leeds the night before) and they were a bit rowdy when the safety instructions were being read. The guy doing the safety bit nearest told them to "shut up or get the hell off". :D

When they ask you One or Two lumps they are referring to your turds so they can charge you accordingly for using the toilet.

I went to NY and back with 2 pieces of A4 barcoded BA paperwork and my passport, i couldn't belive it either at the time, but that how it is these days

Very simple in fact

You don't even need that on some airlines; you can keep the boarding card on your mobile. I think BMI and Lufthansa are doing this now.

It scares me to see how it's all changed since I last flew.

Bollocks. Cloud today. Thunderstorms tomorrow. Rain Tuesday.

Typical.
