Idea to improve population!

Give everyone that has an open/active account a chance to become invited to WAR-beta

How does that increase the population?

Increasing means MORE players.
Giving keys to ACTIVE accounts, means THE SAME players.

I think we needed a third server that allows people to log onto Alb / Hib / Mid as there was no opportunity to do this on an english server so we were forced to choose between two realms and not really play the third realm, this is how i see it and i think it has been proven by the number of people who re-rolled to mid avalon...

It was slated that when Beta '2' starts for WAR, do a search under the WAR forum for 'beta timings'

Spring 2007 Beta 2 starts, existing players from DAOC will be invited to check out there new sibling.

Read into that what you will, but chances are existing DAOC players will get a look at WAR first.

EA did a similiar thing when the killed off Earth and Beyond all the people left were given a free game and told to sod off.

It does look a bit ominous, let's give everyone who play the game where there is a major population problem access to the new game so they all fuck off to WAR and leave DAoC totally dead, then while everyone is off enjoying WAR they sneak in and close the server door and throw away the key with the excuse "servers are empty, unable to continue with zero poulation, but here's a cookie, go play WAR instead"
