Is it insta-cast? like [click hotkey] and all enemies near you are damaged and rooted?.

Funny story. I was about to suicide my shammy for some item hunt quest, and userly runs towards DC for fast suicide. At mmg i saw a infil who beckoned me unstealthed. Of course I used my Ichor (instant), and suddenlt four more infils showed up (rooted and dmged fo course).

I ran of towards DC leaving them behind. When they where out of sight i saw their death messages when FG mids come past doors. You'll never know what's hiding in the shadows until you have used your ichor!

Ichor got range doesn't it? So the enemies don't have to be near you.

Yes, it's targeted AE, with a pretty decent range..
I think it's 1875 or more even, but I don't have a high level shammy so I can't check
