Very cool pics what exactly is an ice storm though just very cold blasts of wind that freezes everything in sight or small pieces or ice that stick on stuff then build up?

Suspect that ice build up was caused by sea sprey building up and freezing on the cars and bench's.
Though technicaly Lake Geneva isn't a sea so should we call it lake sprey?
Anyway you get the idea I hope.
