Hehe, it was somin like 180x79 or somin like that and i used one of those online gif edit things to crop it smaller, how can i make it down to 50x whatever without making it look crap?

Put it on a green bg before reducing it, then the jaggies will be semitransparent relative to a green bg

yeah I laughed at that.

Seems to actually work though, people do anything for power on IRC heh

Well up until about 3 months ago Yarn was running on a single news script written by a friend of mine (http://www.jinxm.co.uk) called Rose. Before that it was basically all html/basic PHP.

But Yarn as it is, is way too big for me to code everything by hand, and Postnuke is perfect as it offers me the facilities I want (news posting and archiving with comments, columns, reviews database, polls, links database, forums etc) on the site in an easy to administer way. So the site now runs off of a MySQL backend (as it has done since early last year) with the PHP frontend taken care of by Postnuke.

Horses for courses I suppose. If Yarn was a smaller site I would more than likely just hand-code it, but with the amount of stuff & facilities the site now offers it's just too big.

:)
