I was trying to explain DAOC to someone at work today. She thought it was really funny because I was getting very excited doing the little animations for PBAOE on my Enchanter as I explained how I 'pwn n00bs' etc.

I realised that even after 6 years of playing, having sold accounts at least three times and returned, there is nothing that gives me the same satisfaction as DAOC.

I think it's the thrill of getting a kill in RVR I enjoy the most! I can recall playing a NS in Thid, and having my heart almost coming out of my chest as I approached someone to Back Stab

I am really gutted about the way the population is ATM though. I really wish I could turn back the clock 6 years to when I first started, but knowing what I know now about the game.

I'd do so many things differently...

it wouldnt be as fun, if you turned time back but stayed with your current knowledge. Most of the fun came from the game being unexplored and innovative, and when you actually got excited when you saw a player from an enemy realm, wondered what class it was,etc

daoc is not a good way to pick up women, and telling them that you are a porn newbie might not help either...

But I can see what you mean m8, but nothing satisfies you more than getting a kill in daoc? If that was the case for me I would be all emptied after a night on my wizard with 25+ deathblows!

I meant as in video game satisfaction, not as in IRL satisfaction

yea played many other games and none can compete, 8v8 or solo stealther has to be the best thing in the game imo.
