i think my hard drive is dying

I got a western digital 7200 rpm 60 gig hard drive.

Theres some weird whirling/grinding sound coming from it when it loads something. anyone know what could be the problem?

I have the same problem and ive been told its normal but its worth calling some1 out to check, worry when smoke and a funny smell start coming from it, its hard to redownload all patches on a 56K modem
