I've decided that after staring at my charcoal chainmail and pure black cloak for a few days now i most definitely need a makeover!

A lot of people on these forums have v. good style as far as colour is concerned so i thought I'd seek help from the experts! I have a slightly limited budget, although I'm sure i could fix that if necessary.. anotherwards 30g per piece of kit is not in my price range :)
Armour is obviously chain and i use a hooded cloak if that makes any difference...

This may seem rather sad but staring at a black minstrel making me feel a tad miserable and I have no sense of style ;)

well my minstrel has a black hooded cloak, black chain torso and charcoal arms and legs, charcoal shield and a dark scimitar from keltoi, which is, unsurprisingly, dark :)

but my minstrel is attractive enough to get away with it anyway since she's a rather nice looking briton woman, but with my eldritch i found that mixing black and crimson could get good results.

obviously these are all 30g pieces so let's see:

charcoal torso, gloves, boots, 6g each = 18g
red sleves and leggings, 25s each = 50s
black cloak, free since you already have one :)

comes to a grand total of 18g 50s, will look very nice, would be better switching the red for crimson and the charcoal for black, but you wanted the cheap version :D

best thing to remember though, is if your an ugly bastard anyway then dont waste gold on dye :D you'll still look crap :m00:.

truth be told, all the decent colours are usually 30g, limiting yourself to less than that really restricts you, but you can get around it sort of, just have to try hard :)

Agreed that crimson looks pretty :)
might be able to splash out on crimson for the red bits seeing as i have full charcoal though, I'm stuck if i don't like it tho :( problem with any suggestions here, will have to take risks... pink FAR too risky tho Velo!!!
Btw Charo - I'm an uber sexy Brit guy with a butt like granite ;)

A tastfull armour, if your wearing metal is to acid wash the lot except for the boots and gloves, which you dye brown or black to give the semblance of leather.

Cheap too :)

you should be looking at the colours for 6 gold, if 30 is out of your league.

Orange has a very good shine to it, so does Forrest Green. Teal is a vastly unused colour too. the yellow colours dont look good on metal, but it could be an alternative for your cloak.

Charcoal and forrest green, looks pretty good together, actually, and not a often used combo. Orange suits charcoal well too.

Not sure how teal and forrest green go together, but try it out :)

Rust, however looks absolutely bril on cloth :D

Light brown gives a goldish look to chain and plate. I quite like that. (and it is cheap)
