Ok, here´s the deal....

In an attempt to recreate the sweet feelings of geek-ness we used to fancy when we were young, obscured by the soft veils of nostalgia and the mindnumbing experience of a permanent DejaVu, I managed to re-gather my very first (!) pen&paper RPG group and start a new RPG campaign... just like back in the days when we were in school. It´s more of a fun thing, we´re meeting once a month, drink lots of beer, order some pizza and roll some dices in between. I`m running the campaing and my preparations for the main campaign are done. However, I`m still lacking some "fill up" stuff. Small scenarios, ideas for adventures or encounters... that´s what I`m looking for. I´m open for all kinds of ideas, twisted, evil, complex, challenging... it doesn´t matter as long as it´s interesting and doesn´t follow the good old group <- monster -> treasure pattern.

So here we go. If you have any ideas for small-ish RPG scenarios, post them! Doesn´t need to be elaborated, just a few sentences explaining the plot.

A dark and misty cave in the hillside of a, "hear say" haunted forest surrounded mountain looms evily at the side of the road as the travellers walk along it. Screams of pain echo from the bowels of this cave that looks like it's the devils mouth, inviting for a dinner...to be it infact.

As the travellers approach the cave, and walk past it to the tavern at the other side of the road, next to a lovely lake, a stranger invites them for a drink and they all get pissed.

I guess the "eleet" fast lingo, that's acceptable in games for fast communication in tight situations, is what ticked him off more.

Grab a look at some of the palladium rulebooks. usually at the back of most of them, they do small 'Hook, Line and Sinker' scenarios.

EG:

Hook: people from a local village go missing

Line: The villiange elder is offering X gold to find the culprit/kill dragon whatever

Sinker: The villiage elder is secretly killing off the villagers as sacrafices to some evil god type thing.

Then you fill in the other bits of the story yourself.

Depending on the type of game, I'm happy to supply a few adventures for modern day stuff like Vampire/Mage/Buffy/Feng Shui etc...

In fact, I'm currently working on designing a new RPG at the moment, check SIL in my sig for sci-fi type setting - although the webby still needs a lot of work...

@Talyn

thanks, will take a look. :)
I got plenty of modules dusting away in my shelfs and I know tons of sites offering scenarios... I just wanted to look if there´s something special hiding in the font of creativity that´s commonly known as "Freddyshous OT" (and thanks to Tohortis controbution, I´m not dissapointed!) :)

@Moggit

Yup, I used to play Vampire a lot a couple years ago. They´re pretty good, I like the setting. I stopped after 2nd edition though. :)

Currently playing Rolemaster again.

Just too be annoying, I've always refered to Rolemaster as Roll-Master, due to having to roll for even the most basic action. I remember (now it could have been just a crappy DM, but it's how i remember the game) I needed to get off my horse, the DM made me roll to see if could do it correctly, I failed, fell off, rolled again on a critical hit table and the result was that it crippled me. Thus I needed to make a new character.

Anyway, I'm tied up with sorting out SIL at the moment (The current deadline for it is start of Feb, so I need about another 250 pages of stuff in the next 3 weeks!!), but drop me a PM if you want, and over the next couple of weeks, I'll see what i can do about some quick scenarios. (Let me know the setting and such like...)

Heh, i never REALLY needed to roll, but was fair to the players.

If they demanded a roll on MY *thunderclouds* decicion, i threw the die with eyes closed just to make a point :D

Never heard of a role, and very much never roll, master.

Dungeonmaster for the D&D geeks.
Game master for the rest.
That's how it was and is and will be.

I used to run alot of Stafleet battle's ... and instead of being a game's master, you where Q instead =).

Still haven't done anything like that in a good few years now.

I've done a few in my time, but the main one for me (although I've missed the last couple of events) is Oblivion.

I'm being pestered into playing Jade Empires at the moment by a couple of friends (I don't know the url to that site, sorry), so i'll see what happens near the next event.

There are some others i've been to, both as a trader (in character and ooc) and as a player.
