I Need Cs!

i have already posted 2 threads regarding sound trouble.... it did work fine untill i updated.....HELP PLEASE!

1 week after sound trouble....

Right, i re-installed v1.3 of CS and 1.008 of halflife and also played with AEX and A3D hardware support,(althought i have neither) to no joy!

There are no more updates for my sound card. (creative sound balster audio 64v)

I have sound for atleast 10 seconds before it disapears(and does not return). Does anyone knoe if its a bufer prob?

PLEASE RESPOND.....

an unhappy gamer.....i've not had a frag for 2 weeks!!

hhmm, there are sound probs with new CS(maybe in HL as a whole with 1108), i've had my sound dissapear, and not come back even with a retry, but it dont happen much and restarting HL fixes =/

I must be the only one of you lot who has had no trouble at all with the new CS and HL updates. Not even voice comms has given me any problems, transmitting clear as a bell according to team mates.

As for your trouble m8, I hope you got a cable or DSL connection coz it sounds like you need to redownload. Does Half Life itself play ok?

i have re-installed halflife and cs 3 or 4 times over the last few days and still no joy...

it must be a software problem tho, as other games thro jolt and bw servers still work fine. Although i only have a 56k connection the game runs fine and i ping (usually) at around 170.

unreal works fine but team fort and cs both have no sound...

the sound works for 10 seconds and then dissapears.... could it be a buffer problem (it seems top fill up and then stop working once full??

does anyone know where a can download a halflife uninstall program??
