I have been out of the loop for about 2 years. I have recently bought SOF2 and just got online out here (Germany) and I want to know how to get online to play a game. I went to where I thought I was supposed to go, ,and it activated the game, ,but when it said waiting for connection, the timer got all the way to 102, before I exited the game and came here. I have a cable modem, so I know that it is not a crappy connection, what am I doing wrong? Are there FREE areas to play at? Or do I HAVE to pay some fee to play online?

No you don't , but you Do need to patch the game .
Get the full Gold patch here , I believe that is the latest one
