I made 50
By my approximation it’s 7-8 months since I entered the world of DAoC, the first on-line game I have ever played, which I bought on the recommendation of a friend.
The first thing I did, upon creating my character, was fall off out of Adribard’s Retreat and nearly kill myself. Much to the (assumed) amusement of a player watching from the bridge as I tried to figure out how to get back on the walkway (they watched me for 2 minutes – no hints!). I then got buffed by a passing player, knowing neither what buffs were or how to say thanks (still feel guilty whoever you were).
Since then I’ve made a lot of friends, possibly a couple of enemies, and really enjoyed myself. My /played time is now 30d, 14h and I made level 50 last night, which I reckon isn’t bad for a first effort, including a tailoring skill of 700+
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the people I have met in the game, I have enjoyed every minute of it (ok some were bad, but thankfully few) and am happy to have effectively met some very good people. Special thanks go to the Disciples of Aldur, some of whom were with me when I DINGed (including Scunner by proxy) and those people I have grouped with throughout the levels.
Now I just need some tips on sorc RvR, as I haven’t really started yet! PM me in game, they’ll all be gratefully accepted.

PS Some regard for the famous mid/hib chars in the realm, I believe that even in my small amount of RvR I have supplied most of the top folk with a few RP
