As it looks like my lickle friar will be gaining levels faster than cheap prostitutes gain HIV, it's time to decide on specs.

As I have a 50 cleric (rejuv specced), I really am not that bothered about my friar's ability to cast major heals, as I can do that by typing /quit and logging Eggy. I want to biff the shit out of people.

Been looking at various templates etc, and am trying to finalise my 50 spec. I understand that 47 enhance is very useful (for the last self haste buff). Staff-wise, is there any need to go above 39? I don't think the 44 style which is part of the side-attack chain will become that useful in RVR, but will 39 staff give me enough hitting power?

If so, would 39s/49e/19p/7r be a valid spec? All ideas are appreciated.

Also, RA wise: should I go for aug quick and dodger 2 first of all, especially while xping?

really no point in getting 49e, matter aint that usefull for alb imo
i ot dodger 2 first as rr, worked great really helps you out when you dont have evade5/200+ quick

unless you go 15 no point in specing 7reju, for a couple of spells you will use once in a blue moon.

and parry is useless in this new RvR where everyone has end buff and styles 100% of time, its very nice in PvE tho

and 44staff style is great, i had it but i just dont think it fits into a balanced spec so i respeced it

Please...get 7 rej. If not for your groupmates then for yourself. Curing DoTs is too important. Better than casting a skanky baseline heal that does anything from 10 to 100.

I wanted my friar to be 29s, 49e, 33r and rest parry but I overspecced staff to 31 by accident. So now I am going 39s, 48e, 18r, 13p.

My spec heal does 215 and I can get staff over 50 easily. www.drunkenfriar.com has a good thread about loads of various specs and their merits/issues.

And so on and so forth. There's a lot of debate over the healing v fighting specs and I remember some guy saying that at 29s 33r etc he could still solo a purple in DF and that the damage didn't have any noticable decrease. But he's like RR8 or something so make of that what you will.

Anyway. Whatever you do, get 7rej by lvl 24. Thidranki is FULL of mana mentalists and cave shamans and it pisses me off. After that, make sure you have 29staff at 29 for Friar's Boon and anything you spec after that is just a bonus.
