Because warriors are now getting even more abilities while thanes havent, so far anyway, just hope they will get something later this patch.

I'm trying to get at what were the actual abilities that a thane gave you, that justified the group slot?

And if you still want those abilities, doesn't that mean that you still need a thane?

Thanes gave some interrupts etc, his point was that the difference between a warrior and a thane was not _so_ big, but it was tilted towards the warrior and now the gap has been made even bigger. No one _wanted_ a thane but they used them as backups in case no warriors were around.

Well I can cope with the explanation that they were just a substitute, I just couldn't see that if you were taking them for the interupts before, that it would be any different with this patch.

Anyways, isn't 1.81c still a little early to worry about it, maybe a boost to thanes will happen before it's finished.

No one was taking thanes in over a warrior

Yeah and lets hope thanes get boosted, some other hybrid classes aswell :<

Yes I was arguing about this earlier and defending thanes because of interrupts, ST etc, but lets face it. Warriors have shield swipe to kill all Zo pets in one swing, soldiers barricade, dashing defence, they are _unkillable_, while thanes can make a high-survivability template, warriors can still survive longer, and lets not forget the warrior damage. Meril 2 shotted Moksi once 1100 damage from a BG'er, not bad eh? My warden might break 100 damage on sitting casters.

Not only the 1.81c make the diference between thane and warriors bigger, the Champions abilitys do that too. Thanes after a little bit of love, are useless again now both in pve and rvr scene. I hope 1.81 brings some kinda of love them too (a hp boost or/and end buff for grp, not as good as shamman one and with timer, would be nice).
