I use to play 'Magic the Gathering' Card game a long time ago. I was curious on how the game has evolved since the last time I played and found this Card on Ebay, see link below:

I used to play this as well
always new about BL
stupid price for a stupidly rare card
idk, someone somewhere will buy it of course

the most valuable one I collected was worth about $30 according to a price guide, which I still think is a vast amount of money.
never got round to selling them though.

I have a few "cashcows" in my pocket too, but from a totally different game(Doomtroopers).

It's basically like this:

One card is rare.
Rare cards kick a**(most the time).
Pack of rare cards gets you more rare cards. As they kick aformentioned a**.
More rare cards means you get better at the "rare card" pack holding situaton.
Better "rare card pack" means you beat others(rare carders), can sell excess rare cards to lesser rare carders and as such make more money then you dished out in the first place.

Most of the guys buying these "gigaton cards" can afford it easy, with all the stuff they've been selling.

Now how logical it's to buy a card for a game? Well, how logical would it be to buy an aston martin when you could buy a ford fiesta.(you get the point, don't be a smarta** and argue techs)

I played Mt:G too, on a fairly high level (played European championships and got invitation to World Champs in Los Angeles which I couldn't attend) until I finally quit and sold all my cards. Recently though, I found a box of cards under my bed that I had forgotten about... hehe, bring back the good old days which i sometimes miss a lot.

Played some Magic. Now i stick to Eye og Judgment for my cardgame needs

the only card game i play is Blackjack in the social club on a Saturday afternoon
