...and bought a gF2-gts whatsit graphics thingy for my humble pc

It wasn't 'that' time [ie. upgrade time hehe] yet, and I'd even said that I wouldn't upgrade till my gF1-ddr started to suck and it hasn't as of yet heehee but anyway they were almost giving them away [~85 squid ] so I couldn't resist.

I'll post a coolness report

well it works and it's luverly
Linux sees it no prob and runs fine on the [older] drivers I had for my gF-ddr.
UT looks great at my fave res [800x600x32 everything full on] and runs silky smooth
Tomorrow I'll put in a new[er] driver and see what it does performance-wise

it's my favorite
sounds strange, but perspective feels 'wrong' to me when I use higher resolutions. Find myself dropping off things and suchlike
I have played at 1024x768x32 for a while but I didn't really like it.

Now that i've added more ram, this lappy can handle 800x600 instead of 400x300! W00t!
