Have you been left in sole care of the wee 'un yet?

That was my omg moment. When Clare went shopping for a couple of hours with her mum and I was left holding the baby. I was completely capable, could change, feed, burp her etc. but it was still the point where I suddenly felt responsible for this little bundle.

It was great and scary all at once.

Yes I was left alone for 2 hours from after only 30mins after being born.
The mrs had to have some minor surgery but she is fine.

It was very nerve racking especially since he was crying for food and they wouldn't give him a bottle cos we had decided to the breastfeeding thing...but I managed to keep him relatively calm.

Yay-well done! Short of details tho ... name...weight....all happened ok???

Yes...I forgot to mention a few details!

Weight: 7lb15

Was a very long labour +-20hours in all I think and she ended up having a tear which needed some surgery but other than that all went well!
All home now and doing well and everything else seems a distant memory now!

No but she is english and I'm "foreign" so it's must be the exotic side that trapped her!!
