i have a TNT 2 U and need a good mobo and cpu to go with it

hi, Well i have a tnt2 u and an amd k6-2 350 with a ss7 mobo, but amd's have shite fpu's and so i have a decent graphics card and shite cpu etc. even with the amd drivers for q2 i get a whole 37 fps in demo1.dm2, haha, it was ok with the voodoo 2 caus it works better with v2's, what i want to know is what am i to get a a replacement
200 quid max for a cpu and mobo ok

You could go the overclocker route and get a 366 celly(and slocket), with one of those Abit mobo jobbies; heard they clock well, shouldn't cost more than £180

I have one - with a V3 2000 i get 75fps at demo1.dm2 in 1024*768

at 640*480 i get 122fps... quite nippy - im getting a fan card and overclocking the V3

Although I have a BH6 and C300a at 464 for sale... will sell CPU for 55 and mobo for 60 to you.

runs like a dream!!!
Great Graphics and Speed !!!!!!

abit bx6-rev2 mobo - £75
celeron 400a slot1 - £75

should clock to at least 6*83=498mhz
bx6-rev2 has loads of extra bus speeds so u mite be able to get 90/95/100mhz bus out of it depending on cpu

you cant get certain bus speeds from a motherboard 'depending on CPU'... there are a set range of bus speeds and 90/95 are not available on a BX6 rev. 2
