There's no such thing as a free lunch, or PS3 for that matter. You just paid for it with a more pricey monthly contract or longer term :).

I've had one for ages. WHat's the problem?

Get yourself Uncharted 2 and Demon Souls and you'll feel clean.

Well I was getting robbed on PAYG so I am not down any cash at the end of every month but I have a half decent little phone, a ps3 with a film and a game plus a contract with 400 mins per month and unlimited texts. I class that as a win. Just a shame it is a fucking Sony Gaystation with extra added hand a.i.d.s. :p

Samsung C3050 8GB, PS3 Slim 120gb, Dark Knight Blu-Ray, Ratchet and Clank game.

Orange network, 400 free mins, unlimited texts all for £25 a month, 2 year contract.

Personally it suits me fine as I was on Pay as you go with a 7 year old Nokia but the topups were killing me. In my circumstances it was a great deal, the phone is basic but all I needed was a phone and mp3 anyway.

Well doesn't look like you got ripped off - can't say if you could get a *significantly* better deal but it's not a bad one as far as I can see :).

Sounds a good deal apart from it being with Orange, god help your reception!

Cheap phone, £25 a month is far too much for that many minutes, and the 2 year contract means it all pays for itself. But if you are happy, meh.

To put it in perspective my cousin got her upgrade on Orange this week. Similar price phone, £15 a month, 800 minutes, unlimited texts, free net, free landline calls. 18 month contract - £270 over the term.

Your contract with less minutes works out to £600 over the term. That's an awful lot to pay for a ps3.

If you were a UK resistance reader you'd understand that you're soul shall rise to heaven. You see it still costs sony money for every PS3... so if you pay for it, they make a loss... if you pay nothing for it, they still make a loss... additionally it means you wont buy a blueray player from them, so they lose a potential sale elsewhere... you're a GENIUS cHodAX :)

*waits for Patient A to say "free is too much to pay for a PS3" next*

I am always in city centres or at worst in the suburbs, I don't see reception being an issue and I always have my O2 or Vodaphone PAYG sims on standby if that happens. ;)

Look at it from my perspective, I was eating 20 quid a month minimum on PAYG anyway and my old phone was prehistoric. This way I get 400 free mins which is more than enough, unlimited texts, a basic but decent phone and a PS3. All that and in effect I am paying out nothing extra every month, as I said in my circumstances it is a win. ;)

I will pirate all my Blu-Ray downloads too and never ever buy a PS3 game brand new, just to help the cause! :D

You won't if you have a decent TV and sound system mate, BD is teh win! Proper 1080p rips are just too big to bother with.

50incher. :D I have 16mbit ADSL at the moment so the 1080p rips are only a few hours, most likely I will just buy pre-owned films though, less money in Sony's pocket that way. ;)

Btw, PSN is horrible, why the fuck don't the have an organised demo category? It looks like a 9 year old designed the fucking store.

It used to be worse, it's fairly usable in it's current incarnations, but Sony improve things all the time.

Now are you sure they are true BD rips? I thought I was getting pretty good one's, but the real uncompressed stuff is 20gb or more per movie. Pointless.

The size isn't a problem, it's that they usually come as mkv which the ps3 wont play.

Just remux them using PS3 Media Server. Works a treat.

Oh and the new Gran Turismo demo is ace. Get in the top 20 you win a day at a racing school! I, however, about about 1700th. Might have to get the wheel out for this one.

Its always a demo or a prolog or some other gumpf. Its been stupidly delayed so it better be worth it! (I think it will be :))

Doesn't it also have the top gear test track, along with the 2 affordable cars?
