right well weve all heard supers story about signing up well listen to this it just shows how fucking thick shop assistants are.after reading all the posts and wanting to be loyal i decided to sign up,so i went to game about 2 hours ago and bought a reward card.anyway got it home and started up the sign up process,unbeknown to me you have to wait 24 hours before the reward card is activated,i looked on the game webby.anyway i ring up the game shop that i bought the card from and some snotty little bastard says "pin number do you not mean your bank card sir"listen you little bastard i need the pin so ican sign up for barrysworld,then he comes out with the emortal phrase"didnt know we were running a promotion with barrysworld"aaarrrggghh
anyway i might waste another 2 quid and sign up online for game reward card, that way i dont have to wait 24 houre.

That game card has actually been quite useful to me. I have spent fucking fortunes in there on presents for my kids etc. Ive bought 2 gba's a voodoo 5500 video card (ffs) untold games, even the odd one for me

A member of our clan is manager at my local game store, all I did was send a friend up town to get the card and then he rang me to say he was gonna send it through, it was soooooo easy..........

I've had a reward card since their initial release practically (before they cost 2quid), I merely had to find the card to get the number to sign up with

As for talking to game staff about barrysworld, I wouldnt... they arent the brightest bunch...

And as for your gamecard issue, afaik the only way to get the pin number is to check it online, so theoretically you could of used the card you recieved in the shop for that...

heh DOH! i just found out that my GAME Card # was wrong, i thought the end digit/letter was "b" but i typed in "6" (curious) and it kind of accepted me, it give me this message:

scoobs - do me a favor and dont bitch about the staff in the stores - it aint there fault - they dont know about the pin because they havent been told about it

the pin is only used online at game.uk.com so you can logon to buy stuff and get points for it or to check your points balance

generally when someone fills in a form the data on the form is keyed into the store system that day - and when the store closes and all the sales data gets sent to head office the reward card data gets sent with it and is processed overnight - hence why it is usually 24 hours for a card to go "active"
