Pork > all meats. Unless it's beef in steak form. And then it's a fucking close call. The pork chops would have to have a pretty thick and tasty rind of crackling on them to outdo a T-Bone I'm afraid. Such a chop does exist however. Me mum gets them all the time from the butchers. Add chips and Heinz Spaghetti and you have a meal fit for a king.

I've always wondered.

One is heavily salted and injected with water to cure it, the other is not so heavily salted, and contains less water. They're also different cuts of meat AFAIK.

A Pig is a filthy animal, but bacon tastes gooooood.....


Oh and BTW, for meh tea tonight I had 2 sirloin steaks on salad, drizzled with almond oil and cheese.

-- not a meat I prefer to use in - say - a stir fry though, certainly not on my low budget for spices, chilli pastes and oils. Can't get it tasting quite right.

If you like your meats, goto the Hard Rock Cafe. The 'Pig Sandwich' is a thing of beauty.

On the other hand, goto a restaurant called 'La Jardinaire' (sp?) in Sau Paulo, no menu, just lots of waiters runnign around with different cuts of meats, sausages, desserts, and a little stop/go thingy on your table to keep them coming/keep them away. Fixed price for the night. YUM!

I got home from work the other day. I had managed to survive a day without eating any of the free chocolate biscuits, crisps etc that I can eat at work if I so wished. I thought I was safe. I walk in the front door to smell bacon. Wheres the justice in that. Being on a low fat diet can really suck big time.

Low fat diets only work with lots and lots of exercise. Better to eat the fat, than the sugar in those biscuits.
