I cant play CS need HELP !!!

I have the latest half life patch (1.1.0.1) and the latest CS patch (7.1) but when i try to connect to a server i get the message "connection accepted" and then the game wont start, it just stays on that screen without loading the game. Please help

write down the servers IP/port and goto console .
type connect "IP/port here"
so it shud look like
connect 62.212.205.1:27028
i can't connect using WON myself (or gamespy) so try using the console.if that fails reinstall HL + CS

Give it some time.

It can sometimes take 30-40 seconds to move onto loading the map from a "Connection Accepted" prompt.

Umm i have never had a problem connecting my main computer to play CS online, but the other day i installed CS on my other machine for a lan game, in which it works fine, but when i tried to play it online, i had exactly the same problem, it just hangs on the connectiion accepted, i can't figure it out, iv'e tried connecting it to my other box, thats running a net game, the lot Over a lan it's fine but no net

yeah, it takes me ages to get into a game of CS, it isn't my connection I have ISDN but it can take up to 2 mins somtimes.
